About GOLDEN GIP

Under the guidance of Shun Sato, the visionary behind CENSU CREW, GOLDEN GIP shines as the fourth dynamic dining venue under its umbrella, helmed by Head Chef Nigel Kim. Celebrating the diverse flavors of Asian cuisines with a modern Korean twist, GOLDEN GIP offers an elevated dai pai dong experience, complemented by collaborative artworks throughout the restaurant. Now with a permanent location on Wellington Street, Central, following its successful four-month pop-up in Sai Wan Ho, GOLDEN GIP serves up dishes that redefine traditional dining experiences with bold, fresh flavors while fostering a spirited and interactive atmosphere, ensuring an unforgettable social dining experience.

WABI-SABI INTERIORS AS IMAGINED BY STUDIO C8

The interior of GOLDEN GIP, designed by Studio C8 (@studioc8hk) under the creative direction of Sasaki Chikara, reflects a blend of modern aesthetics and traditional elements. With the big Broadway-style neon signage at the front door and a concept that embraces the meaning of Gip as “home” in Korean, the restaurant exudes a welcoming and lively atmosphere, with a hint of nostalgia. The interior features red neon lights that pay homage to the iconic neon signs that were once

synonymous with Hong Kong, in line with Chef Shun’s guiding philosophy of wabi-sabi – finding beauty in imperfections. Throughout the dynamic space are art pieces curated by Masaya Ikeda(@masayaikeda1202) at Center Hong Kong (@center_hk), featuring works from Wimp (@wimp423)in the opening stage.
